About Us

Billy D. and Shirley Rains have Pastored for the Lord since 1966. They have Pastored in Texas, New Mexico, and Arizona. They have also been involved in some Evangelistic duties.

The Rains' have two grown children: Sheila Kaiser, married to Marty Kaiser, and Clifton Rains, married to Kim Rains. They also have four grandchildren: Tatum Kaiser, Josiah Kaiser, Justis Kaiser, and Hailey Rains. All who live in Arizona.

They have Pastored at the East Phoenix Church of God for the last thirteen years.

East Phoenix Church of God organized in 1938. The first church building was at 20th Street and Monroe. The church moved to it's second location at 21st Street and Polk in 1955 or 1956.

Around 1980, the Red Mountain Freeway took the property at 21st Street and Polk, and the church relocated again.

The last move for the church was to it's current location. We are still here for the glory of God. Helping souls find Jesus Christ as their personal Saviour.
